Fully Customised Magic Mirror Experience
Printaparty was approached to be a part of Samsung’s launch of their Galaxy Note 10/10+ handphones. They wanted a Magic Mirror to be installed in their roadshow exhibition booth. They wanted something interactive and eye-catching that would draw in the crowds.
This wasn’t just a one-day event but a three-month roadshow that took us to some of Singapore’s most popular shopping malls, including Vivocity, Ion Orchard, and Nex. It was an exciting journey, and we were eager to make it as memorable as possible.
Since we had custom fabricated our Magic Mirror instead of buying it off the shelves, our Magic Mirror booth was able to do something that other mirror booths in the market can’t, that is, it is incredibly versatile, and could be easily taken apart and set up in Samsung’s roadshow displays. It was literally a Magic Mirror on the wall. This flexibility allowed Samsung to customize the Magic Mirror to fit their brand perfectly. The mirror itself became enhanced the roadshow booth’s aesthetics and provided an attraction for visitors to hang around a little longer.
Our team of developers had to write a program to ensure that every photo taken on our Magic Mirror will be displayed on multiple screens adjacent to it. A custom animated welcome message was also designed and installed onto the mirror.
Spreading the Magic Across Singapore
We also set up a second Magic Mirror booth at the Samsung retail store in Vivocity, where it stayed for the full three months. This way, shoppers could enjoy the Magic Mirror experience any time they visited the store, adding a bit of fun and interaction to their shopping trip. It was a great way to keep the buzz going and attract more people to the store.
Although Samsung did not require any of our staff to work on-site as they intended it to be a fully self-serving magic mirror booth, our team was still on-call 24/7 to render any technical support or delivery of supplies when necessary. This helped to assure our clients that they are fully supported during their event.
Working with Samsung was an amazing experience, and it got us thinking about all the other cool ways we could bring the Magic Mirror to life for different events.
